Loop-d-loop scarf & my insane neighbor

So, I have decided that my neighbor is nutzoid!!! The doorbell rings shortly after I get in and there is my neighbor standing on my doorstep with a package addressed to me in his slimy little paws!!!!!! Clearly with MY name, and MY address. Clearly what was inside it was not his concern... therefore I ask you - WHY DID HE OPEN IT?
Now, that I have ranted I would also like to thank MY SECRET PAL for the wonderful yarn ( I am sure the neighbor will be asking me what it was forever - he asked twice before I slammed the door in his face...) I adore the halloween treats, and my son loved *he already ate one whole bag* the SPOOKY COOKIES.
I am half way done with the Loop-d-loop woven scarf. I am making it out of misti alpaca, and IT is incredible. I cannot wait to finish it so that I can wear it. YUM!
Did I mention that the yarn My SP sent were a perfect combination of my favorites? It is beautiful. Cannot wait to knit it up into the scarf that came with it. Oh, and I also need to mention the cutest note cards that I have ever seen. They were adorable, and my DH said that they were pretty cool - Which is high praise from him!

Books are my friends, and I am alright with that. I have always been what some people referred to as a "bookworm." I could read all day long if I had the time, and something moderately interesting to read. There in lies the problem that I have been having lately - I cannot seem to just browse the library/bookstore and randomly pick up something that looks interesting. I like many different types of books, and I will read just about anything (although I am partial to mysteries, and camelot type stories).
What does someone do when they really don't know anyone that reads, and they want a reccomendation? I don't know yet, but if I figure it out I will let you know.
Thanks for listening --- whoever is out there.
I am lonely. I really need friends!!!!!

DH likes to HOG the Computer!!!!

I would have posted sooner, but I really never get to use the computer at the house anymore. He has been playing this game called World of Warcraft like a madman. Can't seem to drag him away to do anything else; it's becoming very annoying. So, I am typing this at work, and I hate that because I actually do have work to do!
I still haven't gotten the sweater pattern that I ordered to do my little's sweater, but I have finished the hat already. It is so adorable (Now, if I could just figure out how to keep it on his head!).
Took some very cute pictures of him ripping it off his head - I should post them.

Sweater again

I ordered a pattern to knit my son a sweater, and it should be here in a couple of days. Until then I decided to knit a hat for him. He doesn't have that much hair still, and it is already getting really chilly here.
I decided the Brioche helmet hat in IK looked really cute, and it could not be all that difficult. Boy was I wrong. I am sure for some people it just zips right off the needles, but I am having the hardest time getting the stitch down. I think it all stems from the yarn over. Now I am looking for a simpler pattern that I might be able to finish before the pattern for the sweater gets here. Hmmm... where to start?
